Types of Batik

Let's learn about the  kind BATIK.
Batik basically consists of three kinds:

1. Hand writing  Batik
2. Stamping Batik
3. Printing Batik

1. Batik Hand writing Batik

This batik is done by hand. From  drawing until the end of the process of this batik use hand
Batik itself is distinguished 2 kinds: Fine Batik and  Batik Rough. The difference of the two above can be seen from the cloth in which to Fine Batik cloth uses  Prima and Batik kasar or rough uses  Primisima. Fine Batik done with very  careful, orderly and neat, until even the smallest point. therefore the price of the two must be different. Fine Batik itself is also composed several kinds of subtle, refined, somewhat subtle, when viewed from the color is natural color (mahogany, mangosteen skin, indigo, mango leaves etc), with the chemical (reactive, indigosol, remasol). 2. Stamping Batik

The making process of this batik is using copper and iron with motifs. Batik Cap or stamping Batik was developed from the 19th century. With this very simple technique can fave the production fee  To make this batik, the artisant using copper or iron, and  also use wood, but using wood will give not good result like when using copper or iron because if using wood, malam (candles) it does not stick as much as using copper or iron and color produced will be seen as a gradient in the central and peripheral motives. 3.  Printing Batik

Batik Printing principle similar to  stamping batik still only using natural colors, while Printing has been using chemicals so that the resulting color will look more attractive. How to distinguish between Printing Batik, stamp and original is the look, whether neat or not, and also through the smell of batik. Although the principle is similar to the making process of  Batik Cap / stamping Batik, but the results will look more like Handwriting Batik. First one can still distinguish between Hand writing Batik and Printing Batik , but now rather difficult to distinguish the two because now some craftsmen make Printing Batik somewhat similar to Batik Batik by dipping into the night (candles) cold so of smell, one would assume that the batik process repeated use - re-use night (candles) are many. But to distinguish Hand writing Batik and Printing Batik is easy, by looking at the back of Batik, the batik whether duplex or back to back
